Turning Stone and Online tournys

Well, for a week where i was sopposed to catch up on school work, i really didn't even think of school all week. I just played poker all the time. Was a really good week. The week didn't start very well on the tables in the live games but i made it pretty deep in a couple MTT's on Stars and it was a confidence booster. The most incredible thing of my whole weekend was that i hit 3 straight flushes and i played maybe a total 35 hours. Was pretty crazy. Here are how those hands happen ...

So i'm on a 1-2 - 100$ max table and some donkey goes all in with 27$. I'm in the SB and i have Ah 10c and said ''i'll gamble with you''. Flop comes out Kc Jc 3h. ''thats when i started calling for a straight flush'' Turn was Qc and river 9c. So close to my first royal flush.

.... i know, that was exciting wasn't it ?

I'm on the button and a fairly new player to the table makes in 13$ to go in a 1-2 - 100$ max table. Theres 2 callers ahead of me and i pick up 7s 8s and call. Flop comes out 9s 10c Js. The player that raised in the first to act and he pushes 97$ all-in. Both other guys fold and i snap call. He shows AA. Turn 10s .... SHIP IT !!!! River was dealt face down ..... jk jk

..... ok so thats a little better.

I'm in the small blind with Jc 10c and some internet player makes it 12$ on a 1-2 - 200$ max talbe. I end up being the only caller in the hand. Flop comes 7c 8c 3s. (During the night i check raised him once with nothing and i showed him saying i didn't think he had anything and when another guy did it to him, i said that that guy stole my move.) So i check, he bets 20$. I make it 60$ total. He re raises me 135$ more, and insta-push all in for 225$ more. (I was happy with the size of his raise because i know that i can re-push and he still has a decision to make.) He now starts thinking about it for a couple minutes. For some reason, i was thinking that he wouldn't want to call if i had 9c 10c. He had indicated to me that he had KK. But i wouldn't mind gambling with that hand with KK if he called and wouldn't mind if he folded either. For some reason, i showed 10c when he was calling out 9c 10c. I think KK is a slight underdog to that and wasn't really thinking, or maybe it was just god telling me to show my hand. After i showed the 10, he took another minute and said, ''i call, if i lose this hand, i'm done'' Turn came 9c to make my third straight flush of the week. I just walked to the player and gave him a handshake and just walked away from the table.

I played the 5-5 NL game - 500 max. Was a hard game, alot of good players on that table. What i did like about the table is that you had alot of respect from everyone. A raise actually meant something and people would fold lets say their second pair for the most part.

I sit down at the table(350$), first hand, UTG makes it 15$, UTG+1 makes it 45$ comes to me in position, i have JJ. I just flat call, 2 others call. Flop comes out Kc 3s 4h. The pre flop raiser makes it 125$. That would make a 175$ raise. I really think that i have him beat at that point, he just seems like a super aggresive player. I was worried about the UTG raise to 15, so i folded. Ended up a player made a move on the guy with K 6 and took down the pot on the flop. I think i could have pushed that guy off his hand if i make it 300$ to call. But not too sure. I think it was a good fold though.

I then pick up A Q is the SB and it was raised to 30$ pre with a couple callers. I now only have 250$ left. So we are 4 players, flop comes Ah 5s 2s. I check, BB check, preflop raiser checks, cut off bets 75$. At this point, i think he has AQ and i think i could maybe make him fold AQ in that if i make it 175$ more, so i go all in for 250$. BB basically tells me he has a straight when he calls with that ... everyone else folds and he shows a straight. Other guy said he folded AK. River was a Q so i would have beat him.

Now i reloaded for 300$. I pick up 7s 6s on the cut-off and i make it 20. I get 2 callers and its re-raise by the BB to 60$ total. I call and 1 other calls. Flop comes out 8s 3s 2s. The BB comes out betting 85$. I move in for 240$ and he calls with the As ... Qh on turn, Js on the river. Ouch.

I had just lost 400$ with 2 2. I guess i just misread the player. I had played with him earlier and he had made a couple moves with his flush draw after he missed. So i bet the flop and he called. I decided that i was going to call him down if there was no A or K that came out because i would expect him to be raising with that kind of flush draw. Board was Qh Jh 3s, Turn Js. I called his bet and the river was 6. He bet 200$. And i called pretty much right away with my 2's. I was wrong lol. Oops.

The very next hand, i'm now in for 2100$ for the week and i have 205$ in front of me. I'm in the BB and i have AA. UTG makes in 20, UTG + 1 call. SB makes in 80$ total. I decided that i was either making lots of money on this hand or going broke, so i just flat called. Both other players called. Pot is now 320$. Flop comes 7h 5c 2h. SB checks, i go all in for my last 125$. UTG insta pushes 600$ all-in. I thought i was done. Turn came 9h, river 7c. Now i really thought i was done, but he mucks his hand. So i pretty much triple up that hand. Got me back on track.

Pot is raised to 20$ on the button, we are now 4 handed in the 5-5 game. I call in the SB with K h 10h. Flop comes out Ah Qc 5s. I check, he bets 35$. I decided to float him to see if he really had an ace, plus i had back door flush and a gut shot. Turn came a Qs. I checked and he checked behind. (Right there i could tell that he was scared) River came 5c. I bet out 50$. He thought about it for a while and asked if i would show when he was folding his hand. So I showed him K high and he showed his A.

Later on with that same player, i pick up Ah 10c in SB and he also raised preflop to 20$. Flop came out As 5h 8c. I check, he bet out 35$, i called. Turn came 3h. I check, he check. River came another 3s. I bet out 50$ again. He asked if i would show, and i said yes again. So now he called and said '' do you have an Ace ?'' i said yes and he mucked.

This time i picked up Kh Jh on the button and made it 20$, got that same player to call. Flop came out all low cards. We checked. Turn came another low card, we both checked. River was a J. I bet out 40$ into a 40$ pot. He asked again if i would show and i said yes ... and he still called i think he had a PP. Not sure .. but he was mad.

I raised with 3s 5s to 20$ from the button, SB calls, BB folds.(still 4 handed game) The flop comes out 2d 4d 9h. He checks, i bet 35$, he calls. Turn is my perfect card 6c(if the Ace comes, it kills the action, you will understand why)He comes out betting 65$, i make it 145$ to go. He then asks how much i had left. I'm not sure, but i think i had about 200$ more chips, he decided to put me all in and i didn't slow roll him, but i just acted like people move in on me when i have the nuts all the time ... just no expression. He said he had a big pair, therefore, if the A comes, i probably don't make anything more, and if a diamond comes, he probably slows down and so do i. I was drawing to 2 outs and i got it. Sick

After losing chips in alot of pots, i was down to about 750$. Shorthanded games have alot of raises and you call alot of raises with hands that mise and call with alot of medium hands. Im basically just trying to stay alive until i get a huge hand and get paid off. Thats what happen.

I pick up Kh Kd in UTG or AKA cut off and i make it 20$ to go, folds to SB who makes it 75$ to go. I act like i have a difficult call, and i was never even thinking of re raising in that spot. At this point, i'm putting him on something like QQ, JJ, AQ, AK. The flop comes out Qh Jh 3c. He comes out betting 90$. At this point, i'm pretty sure he doesn't have QQ or JJ, only thing that makes sense is AQ or AK of hearts, but i have the Kh. So AQ sounds about right. I want to get all the chips in now if i can because if a heart comes, it could kill the action. I make it 210$ total, he moves in for the rest imidiatly for about 240$ more. (Before i called, i said out loud, i don't think i can fold here, and the guys friend ask me if i had KQ, i said no, KK. I saw the guys head go down from the corner of my eye) At this point, i can't fold anymore, so i called, and he showed AQ. Couple blanks and i was up to 1200$ and up 100$ at the 5-5 game. I finish the night with 1100$ on that table.

I'm going to post this, but i will talk about hands from 1-2 NL later. I think theres enough here for a good little reading session. LAter

Long Break .... lol(updated)

Ya, so if you saw what a wrote a couple days ago, i'm on a break from the local live game .... that lasted like 3-4 days. Last night, i didn't feel super tired after work and decided that i would go try and deal for a little bit. I got there and the dealers still fealt like dealing and the game looked good. I felt i could take advantage. So i played a session.

I also been playing some online tournys and i finish by winning a 27+R to EPT: Monte Carlo satelite worth 800$. So that felt good. I now have my account on Stars at 1K. I think i'm goign to keep on playing the 10$ to 20$ tournys and see how that goes.

Here are a couple hands from my live session last night.

First hand i played was 9c 7c. I was in middle position and i limped in with a limper ahead of me. We ended up being 6 players in the hand. Flop came Jc 7h 3c. Blinds checked and the player next to me bets 20$, i make it 65$ to call to figure out where i'm at, plus i would take controle of the hand. Everyone folded to the better who calls. Turn came Jd. Now as it works out, i think that small raise on the flop gave me a free card on the turn. I thought he had a J so i checked behind him. I caught the Qc on the river. He bet out 55$ and i just called. He just showed a jack.
I picked up KcKs on the button after its raised to 15$ with 2 callers ahead. I know make it 65$ to go, and those 3 players call(one player was all in for 55$), blinds fold. Flop comes 8h 9c 10c. Its checked around to me, the pot is 220$ with 40$ sidepot. I bet 100$ (i have 300$ behind). I get one caller. This guy is probably a little on tilt, and he really likes to bluff alot. Turn came 3d. He checks to me, and i go to bet and he says, ''i'm not folding to any bet'', i gave him a draw, but i still checked and i knew that i would have to call a bet on the river to win the pot. River came perfect, Ac. He bets 250$. I start talking saying i didn't think he had a flush. The thing is that he could have J3 and be in that pot. I just didn't think he had it, and he starts talking, ''are you folding ?'' i said maybe. He then put his cards up the air as if he's ready to much his hand. I know this player pretty well, and i don't think he would do that if he wanted me to call. So i called and he didn'T even look at my hand and mucked. He was all amazed that i called with K's in that spot. I was happy. (i didn't mention, but the guy that was all in, also mucked his hand as soon as the player bet out 250$, so that was a bonus to know i didn't have to beat him)

I pick up 8h8d on the button and it was limped around. I called and ew ended up being 7 players in the hand. The pot is about 35$. The flop comes out Jh 10h 6c. Its checked around to the loose player beside me and he bets 20$, i called and there was 1 more caller. Pot is now about 100$. Turn is Qd. Its checked around to the player that bet 20$ and he starts thinking about betting. Right away, i'm pretty sure he's on a flush draw, but he could have hit the Q. He finally check, and i come out betting 80$ to find out if i was right. Other players fold and he thinks about it and calls. River is Qh. He thinks about it for a while and checks, and i check right away because i can't bluff a flush there if my read is right. Turns out my read was right, but a little wrong. He had Ah Kh for the Royal Flush. Needless to say, i didn't win that pot and probably save a little money when a heart came on the river.

UTG raises to 20$, first guy calls and i call with 10h 7h. The 4 other players also call, so 7 handed for 20$ so 140$ in the pot. Flop comes 10d 6h 3s. Checked around to me and i bet 100$. A player that i have a pretty good read on was getting ready to call and i could tell that he had a decent hand, but that he wasn'T too sure about it. He called and i got 1 more insta call from the loose player to my right. Turn came 5c. Now i check and the player that i have the read on, does the sameL thing, i can tell he's not too sure about his hand, and he bets 100$. Another insta call and now theres 640$ in the pot and i decide to call thinking that i have one of the beat and the other is on a draw. River is 10c. We all check, player that i said i had a read on had 9's and other player was on the straight draw. So i won that 740$ pot.

This one is going to be quick. Limped pot, QJ on the button, flop is Ad Kd 3s. Checked around, Turn 10c. Player bets 40$, one guy calls, I make it 140$ total, first guy folds, other goes all in for maybe 400$ total, (we didn'T count) i called and he had AK. Blank on the river. WIN

Here are a couple more hands,

I pick up 6s 5s on the SB and i limp in and BB raises to 20 total. Everyone calls making it 140$ in the pot. The flop comes out As Kh Qs. Its checked around the player to my right, he bets 35$, i call, and we get 1 more call. The turn comes 8d. I check, and everyone checks. River comes Ah. Theres 255$ so i decide to value bet it and see what happens. It looks like everyone was on a draw. I Bet 60$. First guy folds, guy on the button looks at me and says, ''what do you have ? fuck it, i'm not paying you off this time. '' He says, ''show me your ace or your boat'' So i showed him 6 high. Nice pot for playing the board

I pick up Super Joe, 5c 6c on the button this time and it was raised to 20$ total with 6 players. The flop comes out Kh 7s 3c. Its checked around. Turn comes 8s. Everyone checks again, so i bet out 80$. I get called by the player to my right. River comes 3h. He check to me, and i move towards betting again, and he mucks his hand. Looks like playing the board gave me a couple 250$ + pots. That help it be a winning night.

I guess thats all for now. I might post some more hands later, right now i can't think of any other interesting ones. I finish teh night +1500$.

On a break until TS next monday

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while and the main reason is that i was getting tired of posting losing hands and how i got sucked out or set up. So yeah, i'm on a little break. I'll be in Turning Stone next monday, so i guess i will be posting from there. Maybe i will be home a little early. But i wanna play and get some confidence going. For some reason, i feel on top of my game everytime i go to a casino. I feel like a pro.(maybe because the read i get on people and people say, ''i didn't know there was a pro at the table'' ... i don't know what that means, but maybe its good)I played 2 sessions in the last few weeks, both big losses that combine to 1600. So now i'm put 200$ on Stars and i'm playing some MTT's and some 180 man SNGS. So far, been ok. I was doing ok in a couple tournys but lost a couple races. I managed to win a double Shootout for Sunday millions but i think i'm going to use the T$ to play some more tournys.

I guess here are a couple hands from my most recent sessions:

Early position raised to 25$ , every1 folds to SB that calls and then i call with AK in BB ... flop is Kh 6s 2c. I thought i would see what the preflop raiser did, maybe he had like J's or something. Trying to find out if i was ahead. Turn came a 2s. So now theres 75$ in the pot and the SB checks, i come out betting 45$, fold and the SB makes it 110$ total. I got a pretty good read on him, for tells .. and i could tell he wasn't too confident about his hand. I could see him doing a play like that with K Q and he would think he is good. He could also make that move with a flush draw. And from my read, i knew almost for sure he didn't have a 2. So the river came 7c. I think thats a pretty good card. He now bets 200$. I think about it, and he still looks weak, at this point i really think i have the best hand, but i still just call. He shows AA.

Um ... another hand solide player raised to 30 in middle position. I got AK in SB. I Call, 2 more call. Flop comes K 10 4. I bet 90$ into 130$ pot and its folded to preflop raiser to raises to 240$. So i folded and he showed me AA.

This is a weird one. So theres like 3 limpers and it gets to me in the BB, i have AA. I make it 35$ total. Everyone folds and the player on the button says he puts me all in. I had about 240$ at the start of the hand. So i call and we both flip over our cards, he has AsKs. So i pull back the chips and start to get a count. The dealer picks up the cards and then pulls out a flop and mucks the rest of the deck. I was just in shock. Everyone at the table was telling me to just take the blinds, but i thought it was kinda weird. So i accepted the option of the guy giving 100$ to fix everything. It wasn't so bad, no risk. At the other end of the table, they say the flop and said it was a like 3 8 10 red flop. So i was a little pist. Made a little bit of a difference.

I don't really remember alot of hands during that night, i busted out when i limped UTG with JJ and pot was raised to 30 by loose player, called by tight player. I moved in for 120$ total. When they both called i knew the tight player had me beat. He had QQ.

I made a couple good reads last time i played, but for some reason, i couldn'T go through with it. I guess thats what happens when you have no more confidence. I put a guy on J's or Q's with a A K flop. I knew he wasn't happy with it. I had 7's. He had raised it to 20$ pre flop and 1 more caller. He checked that flop, i made it 50$ with about 65 - 70$ in the pot. He called the 50. I knew he had JJ or QQ, but i couldn't fire again. I just started to think he would call me no matter what. He told me that if i bet another 50$ on the river he would fold, but i think i needed to fire atleast 100$ - 150$ to get him out. Was just frustrated.

All night i would get back to even and couldn't win another pot.

This is pot where i got kinda lucky. I had Ac 4c in late position and theres 2 limpers ahead of me, the BB makes it 40$ total. I got 2 calling stations behind me so i think they are both calling, but i still say donation when i call. Only 1 other guy calls. Flop is 5c 2h 7c. This is almost a perfect flop. The pre flop raiser comes out betting 70$, I go all in right away. When i initially went all in, only if the guy has AA am i behind to him. If he has any other over pair, i'm slightly ahead. And he could always fold. Then my friend that i have a read on starts telling me(with his tell) that he's huge. So now i'm thinking i'm down to my clubs, and if he has a set, i have 8 outs, and then i still have to dodge another 7 cards. Turns out he calls my all in and the guy with AA calls and has exactly 130$ more, same as i do. So the pot ends up being 730$. Hands are AA, 77 and A4 of clubs ... turn 6 of clubs ... HUGE.

I pick up Jc 10c on the button in a straddle to 10$ pot with every1 calling. I call. Flop comes out Ac 8c 7h. It's checked around to me, pot is like 80$. For some reason i didn't bet this flop. Turn came 7c. Now i make my flush. Its checked around to the cut off, and he bets 100$. I need to find out where i am, so i make it 200$ total, i want to find out if someone has a full house, of if this guy has a full house. I get re raised to 475$ total. The guy in the cut off calls with 7 10. And i was folding my flush even if that guy didn't call. Sure enough, River is A. The guy shows AA for quads, and the other guy has the small full house. LOL so i guess i finish last there no matter what happen. Looking back, i might have saved some money folding that hand. But i would probably have bet the flop hard and got raised hard by the AA.

All night, all i could flop is a flush draw or straight draw. And we all know that we can't win alot of money with those when the pots are heads up. I would have needed to get involved in some pots with alot of players but it never happen. I would always get crippled when i would call a flush draw when i had the pot odds because the bets were so small, or i would make a move with my flush draw. The night ended with a flop 8 7 6 and i had 99 and the guy had QQ. Got over commited with my over pair, and called the guys 300$ raise when the pot was like 150$. Was not happy. I also got over commited with AA on a flop 7h 3c 2c. Ultra loose player comes out betting 150$ and the pot was 240$(raised to 40$ pre flop and 5 callers). I was thinking that he flopped a set, but i hopped that he had 2 pairs. LOL He had about 250$ more behind and for some reason, i didn't want a flush draw to call, so i went all in(what an idiot). He had 22 just as expected and i lost the pot. But i did have a straight draw and flush draw on teh turn that missed ... 4c on the turn.

So those are a couple hands. BTW, i wanted to mention that fishbones11 stinks !!! lol
JK, i wanna give a shout out to fishbones11 thats teaching me how to play MTT's.
Thanks bud

Until next time, start praying for me to hit a fuckin flop !!!! lol
