Turning Stone and Online tournys

Well, for a week where i was sopposed to catch up on school work, i really didn't even think of school all week. I just played poker all the time. Was a really good week. The week didn't start very well on the tables in the live games but i made it pretty deep in a couple MTT's on Stars and it was a confidence booster. The most incredible thing of my whole weekend was that i hit 3 straight flushes and i played maybe a total 35 hours. Was pretty crazy. Here are how those hands happen ...

So i'm on a 1-2 - 100$ max table and some donkey goes all in with 27$. I'm in the SB and i have Ah 10c and said ''i'll gamble with you''. Flop comes out Kc Jc 3h. ''thats when i started calling for a straight flush'' Turn was Qc and river 9c. So close to my first royal flush.

.... i know, that was exciting wasn't it ?

I'm on the button and a fairly new player to the table makes in 13$ to go in a 1-2 - 100$ max table. Theres 2 callers ahead of me and i pick up 7s 8s and call. Flop comes out 9s 10c Js. The player that raised in the first to act and he pushes 97$ all-in. Both other guys fold and i snap call. He shows AA. Turn 10s .... SHIP IT !!!! River was dealt face down ..... jk jk

..... ok so thats a little better.

I'm in the small blind with Jc 10c and some internet player makes it 12$ on a 1-2 - 200$ max talbe. I end up being the only caller in the hand. Flop comes 7c 8c 3s. (During the night i check raised him once with nothing and i showed him saying i didn't think he had anything and when another guy did it to him, i said that that guy stole my move.) So i check, he bets 20$. I make it 60$ total. He re raises me 135$ more, and insta-push all in for 225$ more. (I was happy with the size of his raise because i know that i can re-push and he still has a decision to make.) He now starts thinking about it for a couple minutes. For some reason, i was thinking that he wouldn't want to call if i had 9c 10c. He had indicated to me that he had KK. But i wouldn't mind gambling with that hand with KK if he called and wouldn't mind if he folded either. For some reason, i showed 10c when he was calling out 9c 10c. I think KK is a slight underdog to that and wasn't really thinking, or maybe it was just god telling me to show my hand. After i showed the 10, he took another minute and said, ''i call, if i lose this hand, i'm done'' Turn came 9c to make my third straight flush of the week. I just walked to the player and gave him a handshake and just walked away from the table.

I played the 5-5 NL game - 500 max. Was a hard game, alot of good players on that table. What i did like about the table is that you had alot of respect from everyone. A raise actually meant something and people would fold lets say their second pair for the most part.

I sit down at the table(350$), first hand, UTG makes it 15$, UTG+1 makes it 45$ comes to me in position, i have JJ. I just flat call, 2 others call. Flop comes out Kc 3s 4h. The pre flop raiser makes it 125$. That would make a 175$ raise. I really think that i have him beat at that point, he just seems like a super aggresive player. I was worried about the UTG raise to 15, so i folded. Ended up a player made a move on the guy with K 6 and took down the pot on the flop. I think i could have pushed that guy off his hand if i make it 300$ to call. But not too sure. I think it was a good fold though.

I then pick up A Q is the SB and it was raised to 30$ pre with a couple callers. I now only have 250$ left. So we are 4 players, flop comes Ah 5s 2s. I check, BB check, preflop raiser checks, cut off bets 75$. At this point, i think he has AQ and i think i could maybe make him fold AQ in that if i make it 175$ more, so i go all in for 250$. BB basically tells me he has a straight when he calls with that ... everyone else folds and he shows a straight. Other guy said he folded AK. River was a Q so i would have beat him.

Now i reloaded for 300$. I pick up 7s 6s on the cut-off and i make it 20. I get 2 callers and its re-raise by the BB to 60$ total. I call and 1 other calls. Flop comes out 8s 3s 2s. The BB comes out betting 85$. I move in for 240$ and he calls with the As ... Qh on turn, Js on the river. Ouch.

I had just lost 400$ with 2 2. I guess i just misread the player. I had played with him earlier and he had made a couple moves with his flush draw after he missed. So i bet the flop and he called. I decided that i was going to call him down if there was no A or K that came out because i would expect him to be raising with that kind of flush draw. Board was Qh Jh 3s, Turn Js. I called his bet and the river was 6. He bet 200$. And i called pretty much right away with my 2's. I was wrong lol. Oops.

The very next hand, i'm now in for 2100$ for the week and i have 205$ in front of me. I'm in the BB and i have AA. UTG makes in 20, UTG + 1 call. SB makes in 80$ total. I decided that i was either making lots of money on this hand or going broke, so i just flat called. Both other players called. Pot is now 320$. Flop comes 7h 5c 2h. SB checks, i go all in for my last 125$. UTG insta pushes 600$ all-in. I thought i was done. Turn came 9h, river 7c. Now i really thought i was done, but he mucks his hand. So i pretty much triple up that hand. Got me back on track.

Pot is raised to 20$ on the button, we are now 4 handed in the 5-5 game. I call in the SB with K h 10h. Flop comes out Ah Qc 5s. I check, he bets 35$. I decided to float him to see if he really had an ace, plus i had back door flush and a gut shot. Turn came a Qs. I checked and he checked behind. (Right there i could tell that he was scared) River came 5c. I bet out 50$. He thought about it for a while and asked if i would show when he was folding his hand. So I showed him K high and he showed his A.

Later on with that same player, i pick up Ah 10c in SB and he also raised preflop to 20$. Flop came out As 5h 8c. I check, he bet out 35$, i called. Turn came 3h. I check, he check. River came another 3s. I bet out 50$ again. He asked if i would show, and i said yes again. So now he called and said '' do you have an Ace ?'' i said yes and he mucked.

This time i picked up Kh Jh on the button and made it 20$, got that same player to call. Flop came out all low cards. We checked. Turn came another low card, we both checked. River was a J. I bet out 40$ into a 40$ pot. He asked again if i would show and i said yes ... and he still called i think he had a PP. Not sure .. but he was mad.

I raised with 3s 5s to 20$ from the button, SB calls, BB folds.(still 4 handed game) The flop comes out 2d 4d 9h. He checks, i bet 35$, he calls. Turn is my perfect card 6c(if the Ace comes, it kills the action, you will understand why)He comes out betting 65$, i make it 145$ to go. He then asks how much i had left. I'm not sure, but i think i had about 200$ more chips, he decided to put me all in and i didn't slow roll him, but i just acted like people move in on me when i have the nuts all the time ... just no expression. He said he had a big pair, therefore, if the A comes, i probably don't make anything more, and if a diamond comes, he probably slows down and so do i. I was drawing to 2 outs and i got it. Sick

After losing chips in alot of pots, i was down to about 750$. Shorthanded games have alot of raises and you call alot of raises with hands that mise and call with alot of medium hands. Im basically just trying to stay alive until i get a huge hand and get paid off. Thats what happen.

I pick up Kh Kd in UTG or AKA cut off and i make it 20$ to go, folds to SB who makes it 75$ to go. I act like i have a difficult call, and i was never even thinking of re raising in that spot. At this point, i'm putting him on something like QQ, JJ, AQ, AK. The flop comes out Qh Jh 3c. He comes out betting 90$. At this point, i'm pretty sure he doesn't have QQ or JJ, only thing that makes sense is AQ or AK of hearts, but i have the Kh. So AQ sounds about right. I want to get all the chips in now if i can because if a heart comes, it could kill the action. I make it 210$ total, he moves in for the rest imidiatly for about 240$ more. (Before i called, i said out loud, i don't think i can fold here, and the guys friend ask me if i had KQ, i said no, KK. I saw the guys head go down from the corner of my eye) At this point, i can't fold anymore, so i called, and he showed AQ. Couple blanks and i was up to 1200$ and up 100$ at the 5-5 game. I finish the night with 1100$ on that table.

I'm going to post this, but i will talk about hands from 1-2 NL later. I think theres enough here for a good little reading session. LAter
