15 hour session to start the new year

Hey, as you can see, i played a pretty long session on starting after work on Jan 1rst and ending on Jan 2nd at 7PM. I also played a couple session since last time I wrote. Last few session have been not so great. I played a couple session of PL Omaha again and lost 500$ total in both sessions, so i think i'm going to stay away from that. The main reason i didn't write is because there wasn't really any interesting hands played. I also played a couple Hold'em sessions, small ones though, coming up with loses of 200$ and 50$.

Now for last nights session. I probably played some of the best poker of my life. I thought i was playing really good, picking up alot of pots because i sensed weekness on the other players part. For the first couple hours, i wasn't picking up anything, made a nice fold with KK when a guy moved in and the board was 3 5 10. I had limped UTG and for the first time all night, no1 raised the pot and every1 limped in.

Heres a hand that we were playing 4 handed. The pot is straddled to 6$ in a 1-3 NL game. I'm on the button and call with Ah 2h. Not too sure about the preflop action but i remember the pot being about 60$ so that would mean it was raised to probably 18$. (that was the usual number) Flop came out 9s 7d 3h. It is checked all around. Turn comes a 9d. Then the person in the BB bets. (he likes to try and steal alot of pots if he picks up a draw and sometimes even with nothing.) Fold in front of me, and i wait a little bit to find out if the guy next to me is folding and he is ready to fold. I think my A high is good if a diamond doesn't come so i call. River is a 5h. The BB bets out 100$. I think about it 2 seconds. I think he would have bet the flop is he had 6 8 so i decide to call. He's mucking and then i show A high. I win.

The pot is raised to 20$ in early postion, we are now 7 - 8 handed. I'm on the button with Ks 7s and decide to call after a couple callers ahead of me. Flop comes out Ad 9s 6h. It is checked around. I fealt like i could steal the pot but decide not to, since recently they always think i'm stealing and starting raising me with nothing. Turn come Kd. Couple checks and the in middle position puts out a bet of 75$ into 120$ pot. I decide to call because i think my K is good there. We get 1 more caller. Now the pot is 345$. River comes a 2h. Check from second caller and the better on the turn bets out 200$. I thought if he had A he would have bet the flop, and if he had a K he would probably think he is good too and bet something that i could call. Since he made a bet that was pretty big. I was thinking he wasn't very strong and gave him the 9. I looked around and could tell that the other player missed his diamond draw. So i called and other player folded. I call out K. he says K is good.

This one hand maybe i didn't play so well. But i thought i would mention it. This is when the game was 4 handed. I pick up Kh 6c on the button and decided to play it for some reason, i think it was for 6$ with the straddle and was raised to 16$ . Flop came out Qh 8h 7h. Pot is 45$. Theres a bet of 25$. I right away think he has a Q. So i call, other player calls. Turn comes a 10c. He now comes out betting 60$. The pot is about 125$. I don't think he has QJ and he wouldn't bet a flush like that. If he has A Q he would raise it preflop, and he didn't raise it preflop. I now think he has something like Q no kicker. Only fear really is 8 or 7 kicker. So i think i have any heart, any K, and the 9 for the straight to win this pot. And he can probably be pushed off the pot. I can represent a floped flush with a raise here and take control of the hand with a raise here and an opportunity to bluff the river if i mise. I decide to raise it to 160$ total. I think it looks like a raise of some1 that has a flush on the flop. He quickly calls after other guy folds. River comes K clubs. He checks and i come out Betting 250$. The pot was now 445$ and i thought if he really put me on flush draw when i raised. He would think i'm bluffing. He decide to fold and said. I think you hit your K on the river. Nice read by him. I'm just affraid the bluff wouldn't have worked like i thought if i missed. Overall, i think i got lucky, he says he had Q 9. So i was right about my read on the turn. I thought i had about 15 outs on the turn to win that pot, end up i had a little less, but still had 14 outs since he had the 9h. Since the flop was all hearts, i think it was a good read, and a good raise to take control of the hand, i think it would have been alot harder to bluff the river if i missed and if i didn't raise the turn. Raising the turn, i think, was the right move.

Here's the hand of the night. Most of these hands are with the same 2 players. So one player raises to 35$ preflop. I call 35$ on the button wtih As Ks, the BB folds. The flop comes out Kh 8h 2s. The BB comes out betting 55$. The preflop raiser min raises to 110$. I decide to raise to 270$ to really find out where i'm at but i'm pretty sure i have the best hand at this point. The BB raises to 600$ with alot of authority. The preflop raiser folds. Its now 330$ for me to call and the player has 460$ behind. The pot is huge, don't know the number, but its big. I start to analize the hand. I'm pretty sure that player wouldn't bet out a set. I don't think he can call with 8 2 or K 8. I think if he has those hands, he is playing it like a set, he is check raising. The only possibility is a flush draw. So now i have determined that he has a flush draw. I say it out loud. i tell him. Do you want to run it if i call. He said no. He also says, he's going all in on the turn so i might aswell put him in now. I decided that i would call and if a heart came on the turn, i would fold. If no heart comes, i call. So i call and the turn comes 4s. He imidiatly moves all in for his last 460$ and i insta call. He shows Ah 9h. My read was right on, i couldn't ask for any better. Pot is now about 2300$. Here comes the river ... drum roll ... 3h. NOOOOOOO !!!!

After that hand i was dead even. I played a couple more hands. I kept picking up draws and missing. I ended up losing 300$ for the night. But i had the opportunity to be up 2300$. All up to 1 card. I cashed out my last 200$ because there was no point of playing the game. It was 4 handed now. One player had about 3100$ in chips, other 3000$ and the other had about 600$ and i was down to 200$. For the night, i never really got super lucky in a big pot to win, i just played very well. Grinding my way to 1100$ profit until losing it all in one hand.

Thats all for today ... i might come add some hands later if i remember them.
